Welcome to Lady Arrow Volleyball! We have a strong tradition of excellence in our athletic department at CHS. The Volleyball team strives to maintain that same tradition. We have won district titles in 2007-2008-2009 and have made playoff appearances the past six seasons. Please come out and support our games and fundraisers. We would greatly appreciate your support!! Coach Carter is in her fourth season as head coach and ninth season overall. Go Arrows!!

2011-2012 Volleyball Player/Parent MeetingThere will be a mandatory volleyball meeting in CHS Library (first right when you come through the front of the high school) at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Players and at least one parent must attend this meeting…failure to attend will cause dismissal from the team. If you have any questions, call Coach Carter.
Tryouts for the 2011-2012 TeamVolleyball Tryouts for the CHS Volleyball team will be Tuesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 14 from 4:30 to 7:00 at CHS gym. Tryouts are for girls currently in grades 8th-11th. Please bring your own knee pads to tryouts. A sign-up sheet for try-outs is posted in the front office. You must have the sign up information sheet with you at tryouts signed by you and a parent. If you do not have the sheet, then you will not be allowed to try out. You can get the information sheet in the front office of your school.
BANQUET INFO FOR 2010OUR BANQUET WILL BE AT 6:00 ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28 AT MORRISON HEIGHTS BAPTIST CHURCH NEW CAMPUS IN THE STUDENT BUILDING ON THE YOUTH SIDE. TICKETS ARE $16.00 EACH FOR PARENTS AND GUESTS. PLAYERS AND MANAGERS TICKETS ARE PAID FOR BY THE BOOSTER CLUB. YOU MUST PURCHASE ALL TICKETS BY THURSDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2009. Summer Practices 2010Summer Practices start June 7th at 1:00 pm at CHS. Everyone must be there or call Coach Armstrong to let her know why you cannot attend. Please check the dates in your packet for practice times and locations and check your payment due dates. Also, remember that I have to have your permission slip form and your physical by June 7 (unless your physical has not expired). End of SeasonWELL, UNFORTUNATELY WE LOST TO OLIVE BRANCH IN 3 GAMES. WE HAD A GREAT SEASON AND APPRECIATE ALL OF THE SUPPORT. Second Round of PlayoffsOK ARROW FANS, WE MADE IT THROUGH THE FIRST ROUND OF PLAYOFFS. WE BEAT STARKVILLE IN 3 STRAIGHT GAMES. NOW WE TRAVEL TO OLIVE BRANCH TO PLAY ON TUESDAY, OCT. 6 AT 4:00 PM. AS FAR AS I KNOW, WE HAVE ONLY MADE IT TO 2ND ROUND OF PLAYOFFS TWO OTHER TIMES IN THE HISTORY OF LADY ARROW VOLLEYBALL. OLIVE BRANCH HAS KNOCKED US OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS FOR 2 STRAIGHT YEARS. WE NEED AS MUCH SUPPORT AS POSSIBLE!! OUR LADIES ARE PLAYING GREAT, SO IF YOU SEE THEM, THEN LET THEM KNOW HOW PROUD YOU ARE OF THEM. AND AS ALWAYS, GO ARROWS!!!!!

Busy WeekTHIS WILL BE A BUSY WEEK FOR THE LADY ARROWS!! TUESDAY WE WILL HOST RIDGELAND FOR OUR SENIOR NIGHT. JV IS AT 5:30 AND VARSITY IS AT 6:45. PLEASE COME OUT AND SUPPORT US AS WE HONOR OUR 8 SENIORS TONIGHT. ALSO, ON THURSDAY, WE WILL TRAVEL TO MADISON CENTRAL FOR THE DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP. EVEN THOUGH IT IS AN AWAY GAME, WE REALLY NEED YOUR SUPPORT, SO PLEASE COME!! JV IS AT 5:00 AND VARSITY IS AT 6:00!! THANKS AND GO ARROWS!!

Going Strong!!!The Lady Arrows Volleyball Team is going strong!! Varsity is 15-9 and JV is 8-4. Both teams have had some impressive wins. Our next home game is Sept. 22 against Ridgeland with JV at 5:30 and Varsity at 6:30. This will also be Senior Night where we recognize our seniors and their parents. We have had amazing fan support this year, so please keep up your support!! GO ARROWS!!!!!
1st Volleyball GamePlease come out to support the Lady Arrow Volleyball Team on Friday, August 14 at the MBA Complex (old NEJSO). Varsity plays Gulfport at 1:30 pm and JV plays Hattiesburg at 2:30 pm.
Volleyball CampVolleyball camp will be Thursday, July 23 and Friday, July 24 from 9 to 6 (we will have a two hour lunch break from 12 to 2) and on Saturday, July 25 from 9 to 1. You must meet Coach Armstrong in the lobby of the Mississippi College Coliseum/Gym each day at 8:40. Bring lunch money everyday bc we will eat as a team. If you are not able to drive to lunch then I will need a note from your parent letting me know who can take you. If you have any questions, then please contact Coach Armstrong.
July PracticesI hope the Lady Arrows enjoy a couple of weeks off. We will resume practices on Monday, July 20th at CHS gym. Our camp is July 23-25 at Mississippi College. Please contact me (Coach Armstrong) if you have any questions or conflicts about summer practices or camp. Go Lady Arrows!!!
